Solana Beach
Solana Beach is an affluent seaside community along the northern coast of San Diego County. It’s about a 30-minute drive from downtown San Diego. The cool temperature all year round keeps this area on the top of most tourists list. Surfers love the 1.7 miles of coastline for swimming and surfing. It’s a little hard to access with high cliffs that line up along the edge of the coast. There are many secluded beaches with staircases to access them up and down the coastline. This was the first city in the country to ban smoking on the public beach and the last city to ban alcohol consumption on the beach.. The city is also a popular destination for beach activities, shopping, dining, golfing, nightlife, and hiking.
