Bay Shore
Located just to the west of Bay Shore, New York, is the neighborhood of West Bay Shore. A small hamlet with less than 5,000 residents, West Bay Shore is a haven for outdoor recreation and is convenient to all that Bay Shore and the Town of Islip have to offer. The Town of Islip dates back to the 17th century, with architecture remaining today on the National Register of Historic Places visited by the likes of George Washington and Gen. Sir Henry Clinton. With an abundance of natural and American history, this southern portion of Long Island is a great place for tourists or those looking to settle down.
West Bay Shore is convenient to local major thoroughfares, Fire Island, and public transportation leading to Montauk and New York City. West Bay Shore is also a great place to escape the big city life and enjoy the quieter pace of the shoreline and the natural beauty of the many nearby parks and recreation areas.
