Cerritos
The Lakewood East neighborhood of Cerritos, California, is located west of the downtown area of the city. It is roughly bordered by Rynerson Park to the west, and railroad tracks to the east. This is a neighborhood of above average single-family homes, on nice lots that are landscaped with care. This is an area that was formerly known as Dairy Valley, because of all of the dairy farms located here.
Lakewood East is home to close to 40,000 residents. It is home to almost equal numbers of Asians, Hispanics, and Whites, with a small number of African-Americans. Median incomes here are on par with the city average, which is high. Rental rates and home prices here are high, and the vast majority of the people here live a good quality of life.
There is a good public transportation system here, and it is a short distance to beautiful, white sand beaches on the Pacific Ocean.
