Dorena
The small community of Dorena is located in Lane County, Oregon on the Row River, which runs in to the Coast Fork Williamette River. Dorena was first settled in the mid 1800’s and later in that century a school and a post office were built. However, in the mid 1900’s the town was left behind as the community began to built the Dorena Dam on the river and when the Dam was finished at the end of the 1940’s, the Dorena Reservoir flooded the area and the community of Dorena was moved five miles up the river bank, where it stands today.
