University Place
Just a few minutes to the southwest of Tacoma, Washington along the banks of the Puget Sound is the city of University Place. The history of University Place dates back to the early 19th Century when the University of Puget Sound purchased the land it rests on. University Place remained unincorporated as a part of Pierce County until 1995 when the City of University Place was founded. Through the years the city has grown, and has become a haven for tourists looking to explore the area between the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. Today, the vibe of University Place is a mixture between commercial and residential space with plenty of schools, conveniences, and entertainment for visitors and residents to enjoy. With just over 31,000 residents, University Place is a thriving city with a great deal to offer.
