Hemet
The city of Hemet is not only home to about 80,000 residents, but it is also home to a rich and prosperous agricultural industry. In fact, the city has been named as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for over 20 years, and is known for being home to beautiful local forest land. Home of The Ramona Pageant, California's official outdoor play, Hemet has hosted the play since 1923. That makes it one of America's longest running outdoor plays. The city itself was founded before Riverside County, where it now resides, and the formation of its Lake Hemet contributed to the growth of the city.
