North Bay Village
North Bay Village, Florida, is a city located on land that was claimed from the sea in the 1940's. This city of almost 7,000 is part of Miami-Dade County. It is located in the far southern part of the state.
The city of North Bay Village was incorporated in 1945, and in its early years, it was a haven for snowbirds, or people who live in the north, looking to escape the harsh winter weather. Today, the majority of the population lives here year round. The homes, apartments, and condominiums are very expensive, and very beautiful, as many of them have spectacular views of the ocean.
Many companies call this city home. The South Florida cluster of Clear Channel Communications calls North Bay Village home. WSVN-TV, a Fox affiliate, has had its studios here since the early 80's. North Bay Village in known in the state as the “Radio City of South Florida.”
North Bay Village is well known for having some of the best restaurants and nightclubs in the Miami area. In short, this is a wonderful place to live and visit, and the residents live the good life.
