White Plains
White Plains is a thriving city just 25 miles north of New York City. With more than a million people, it's a suburb with an urban atmosphere. It's also one of the top office centers in the United States, and a hub for law, finance, and technology companies. There are also retail shopping centers in the area, and the area has a rich history. The Declaration of Independence was first read to the public on the local courthouse steps and the Battle of White Plains raged in the fields nearby during the Revolutionary War. The city also has highly ranked schools, hundreds of acres of parkland, beautiful libraries, and miles of bike lanes. Plus, every day more than 225,000 people come here to work, shop, and explore, so if you're visiting you'll find plenty to do.
