Highland Heights
Highland Heights is a 4th class city located inside of Campbell County at the northernmost border of the state of Kentucky. It has a population of 6,923 residents living in 2,610 households. There are 1,282 families living in the city on a total land area of 2.3 square miles. The city is home to a Fortune 500 Company called General Cable, which manufactures around the world. This company built their headquarters in Highland Heights back in 1992. The city is also home to the Northern Kentucky University. It has been colloquially referred to as “The Highlands” since the 19th century when the original “District of the Highlands” was incorporated in 1867. Highland Heights was established as a separate community in 1927 with the establishment of its post office. Thanks in large part to the growth of the Northern Kentucky State College, many businesses and development related to it have grown in the town.
