Richmond is located in east central Indiana, within Wayne Township. Richmond is also known as “The Cradle of Recorded Jazz,” due to some of the earliest known jazz being recorded in a studio there. Richmond plays host to four colleges, two seminaries, and two high schools. This city is steeped in history, art, intelligence, and culture.
Richmond has a rich, vibrant history and an even more exciting future – business is booming, while the city still remains as classy as ever. It’s received the All-America City Award twice, most recently in 2009. Richmond retains an old-world charm, with its brick buildings and independently owned shops and eateries.
