Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a large city in New Jersey which has a population of almost 125,000 residents. It is the 4th biggest city in the state by population. It is also the only city in the state to be named as one of the 50 Greenest Cities by Popular Science Magazine. This was settled by English settlers led by Vice Admiral Sit George Carteret who originally named it “Elizabethtown” for his wife. It was the first capital for the state and since then it has seen the first major sewing machine company thrive here as well as one of the first car companies. Since the Second World War this city has grown thanks to the port in Newark.
