Westminster
Westminster sits in sunny Orange County, California. Founded in 1870 by a Presbyterian minister, for years the residents refused to grow grapes because they could be used to make wine, although that traditional no longer stands. There are also a large number of Vietnamese people as it was a home for refugees from Little Saigon. Today, it still has one of the largest concentrations of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam. To honor this heritage, there's a Vietnam War Memorial in the Sid Goldstein Freedom Park.
Westminster is a forward-thinking town, which is why in 1996, the city won the All-American City Away. It's also why the motto is “The City of Progress Built on Pride.”
