Marina Del Rey
This seaside community is on the Westside of Los Angeles, and includes the Fisherman’s Village, with a view of the Marina. The marina is the world’s largest man-made small craft harbor housing nearly 10,000 boats. It’s one of the most valuable land resources in Los Angeles, as the only place you can dock in the water in the area. It was a longtime protected salt marsh with wetlands and went undeveloped for years. Today, the Marina is a mecca for nautical experiences and is surrounded by affluent apartments, retail shops, and restaurants. There is also a residential strip of land with beach houses along the Marina Peninsula. Marina Del Rey is also close to LAX (Los Angeles International airport) and the world-famous Venice Beach.
