Lewiston
Lewiston is the second largest city in Maine. It lies between the state's largest city, Portland, and the state's capital, Augusta. The Androscoggin River runs along the Western border and drains the city. The city is divided in three neighborhoods: Downtown, Webster Street, and Pond Road. Almost half of the population of Lewiston resides Downtown. Running up from Oxford Street to Jefferson Street, and Adams Avenue to Main Street, this is the most densely populated neighborhood in the city. Lisbon Street and Main Street are mostly commercial.Lewiston used to be the commercial hub of the county, but lost value during the economic decline.
