Fall River
Fall River, Massachusetts, is the 10th-largest city in the state and is home to the largest World War II naval vessels collection. It is also where the world famous crime of Lizzie Borden took place. In addition, the city is home to Bristol Community College. Students can achieve an associate’s degree or certificate in 150 different programs, including associate’s degrees in science, art, and applied science. More than 12,000 students attend Bristol Community College. Many of the programs Bristol offers are also offered online.
Milling is big industry in Fall River, with more than 160 small, independent mills. The main source of industry for Fall River is making granite countertops and red bricks. There are currently 33 red brick mills and 48 granite mills. It also has a few other mills making yellow brick and some textile mills.
