San Gabriel
Located in Los Angeles County, San Gabriel, California, was originally named after the Mission San Gabriel Arcangel. Even though its motto is “A city with a Mission,” it is considered the birthplace of the Los Angeles area. It is home to around 40,000 people. Some of its more memorable residents include Curly Howard of The Three Stooges, Gen. George S. Patton, and actor Bill Mumy, who played Will Robinson on the 1960s TV show Lost in Space.
